As a volunteer, there are a number of different ways you can help The Dram Projects bring the thrill and magic of reading to children from Malaysia’s marginalised communities.

Volunteer Opportunities

Facilitator
Do you enjoy reading to children? Would you like to discuss books and stories with teenagers? Perhaps you like painting and drawing with kids of all ages. If you think you would like to work closely with children, fill out the Volunteer Application form and send it to dramprojects@gmail.com.

Introduce Room to Read to a foundation or corporation that might be interested in supporting our work
Do you have connections within a corporation or foundation that might be interested in funding our work? If so, complete our Volunteer Application form and and include this information in the application. Then, send it to dramprojects@gmail.com .

Fundraise
Raise money for The Dram Projects’ reading initiatives by organising a car wash, selling you old books and CDs, running a marathon … you are limited only by your imagination and willingness to give back to the community. If this is what you want to do, complete our Volunteer Application form and send it to dramprojects@gmail.com .

Organize a Book Drive
Ask your colleagues or classmates to help you collect NEW children’s books that will be placed in children’s shelters and homes. Download our Book Drive Kit to get started!

Technical Support
If you’re computer savvy, volunteer to help manage and run The Dram Project’s website. Complete our Volunteer Application form and send it to dramprojects@gmail.com.

Transport
Volunteer to ferry other volunteers to shelters and homes; or children and teens to activities. Complete our Volunteer Application form and send it to dramprojects@gmail.com.
